GOLDEN KITSCH

Creative Music Fund‘s first commission is Elena Kats-Chernin’s orchestral piece, Golden Kitsch, which was premiered in 2009 by the Sydney Youth Orchestra with two sell-out concerts. This piece showcased solo percussionist Claire Edwardes with the Sydney Youth Orchestra.

GOLDEN KITSCH 2017

Performance by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra

 

In February 2017, Golden Kitsch was performed by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Benjamin Northey, to over 11,000 at Melbourne’s Myer Music Bowl at a series of free concerts. Claire Edwardes performed the percussion piece written especially for her.
