A new model for philanthropy

The Creative Music Fund is a form of collaborative commissioning – a new philanthropic force where people combine to fund a special project.

Importantly, the power is in the team – the group of individuals who choose to support a project – rather than one individual or patron. Together, we invest in culture and follow the full process from idea to reality. Creative Music Fund investors have access to rehearsals and to experience the steps involved in making a cultural project.

Vital to the job is to raise the profile of the commissioned works and their impact, as well as promote our own new models and experiences of philanthropy. We are an entry point for new philanthropists to get a taste for the potential and power of philanthropy and what it means to invest in Australia’s culture.

The Creative Music Fund is completely pro-bono with all money supporting the artists.
