Travelling through the northwest of Australia, from Darwin and through the world Heritage Ningaloo Reef and down to Perth, ACO2, a composer, a filmmaker and photographer will travel together on a road trip called The Reef. Local community involvement along the way will be part of the commission and process.

The CREATIVE MUSIC FUND
commissions Australian composers
to write new music works.
Composers work with young musicians and a mix of professional and emerging musicians.
The CMF is particularly interested in opening up opportunities for younger musicians, including those in regional Australia, to perform innovative Australian commissions.
In collaborating with a range of music organisations, like Sydney Youth Orchestra and the Australia Chamber Orchestra, we aim to see the commissions performed across Australia and in other countries.
We want to have a real impact. We want to open the doors, particularly in the regions, for contemporary Australian compositions.
Culture deepens as we incrementally offer up new sounds and ways of perceiving and understanding our world.
